Hidalgo is the fifth largest producer of electricity nationwide, with generating plants,
to mention the most important:
1. Tula 275 MW Thermoelectric combined cycle plant.
2. Francisco Pérez Ríos Thermoelectric Power Plant, it generates 1500 MW.
3. Fernando Hiriart Hydroelectric Dam with 292 MW.
4. Atlas solar park with 102 MW.
The electric service is guaranteed throughout the state, with an installed
capacity of more than 2,200 MVA's in 25 main transmission substations and 2
substations under construction that add up to an additional 100 MVA's,
highlighting the one in the Altiplano region in Apan and the PLATAH industrial
park, in the Tizayuca Valley.
